I love to share my passion for gardening with the knowledge about how the body works. I have a background in dance, worked as an elementary school educator, coach, and a fitness professional. I connect the physical and mental benefits of gardening with best practices; protecting our joints, preventing injuries, optimizing our time in the garden, and creating more relaxation and enjoyment.
Gardening is good for our body, mind and emotions. The goal of these programs is to produce Long Lasting Gardeners by learning tips and strategies, and other healthy ways to enjoy the garden. As I get older, I have adapted a variety of ways to work in the garden that provides more ease to my body. We aim to find balance between work and relaxation. Our garden is always changing and so is our body.
Her experience is in dance, senior fitness classes, Tai Chi for Healthy Aging, and Nia Cardio Fitness. These mind- body programs keep your brain and body healthy. I have been gardening my own plots since 1985 and worked on an organic farm. I am very active in my local garden club.
