"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature.

To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul."  Alfred Austin

I love to share my love of gardening with knowledge of how the body works and recent studies on brain health. I work as a fitness professional and connect the physical and mental benefits of gardening with best practices; protecting our joints, preventing injuries, optimizing our time in the garden, and creating more relaxation and enjoyment.

The goal is to produce Long Lasting Gardeners, aging gracefully, and learning natural, healthy ways to stay in your garden.

Susan is a certified Nia fitness instructor, teaching since 2008. She is also certified in teaching- Tai Chi for Healthy Aging, an easy paced Tai Chi class; Ageless Grace, a fun, mind- body program for keeping your brain and body healthy; Parkinson's SMART, a program for people affected by PD. Susan has been gardening her own plots since 1985 and worked on an organic farm. She is actively involved in her local garden club.
